Abram S. Hewitt State Forest is located in Hewitt, New Jersey. A section of Bearfort Ridge, as well as the Appalachian Trail reaches into Hewitt State Forest, offering hikers a challenging climb with a rewarding view.
A small, scenic tributary of the Delaware River, Adams Creek flows for about two and a half miles through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Here you will find a great hiking trail and places to swim or cliff jump over a waterfall.
Many activities are allowed within the park. Seasonal hunting/fishing, boating (kayaking/roof top launch plus small electric engines), horseback riding, an RC field and seasonal mountain biking (you can only bike during the warmer months).
