General Information

The Assunpink Wildlife Management area is located in extreme western Monmouth County, in the approximate geographic center of the state. Despite its proximity to encroaching development, it is still a haven for wildlife native to the area, as well as a stopover for migrating birds. Assunpinks 5,700 acres offer many attractions to the human population as well.[1]

Many activities are allowed within the park. Seasonal hunting/fishing, boating[2] (kayaking/roof top launch plus small electric engines), horseback riding, an RC field and seasonal mountain biking (you can only bike during the warmer months).
