June is jam packed with wine events, with about 8 taking place in the first weekend. Each consecutive weekend is filled with wine activities, also. June's wine festivities kick off with Ladies Night Out at Beneduce Vineyards (their site) in Pittstown. The first Friday of each month, ladies can treat themselves by slipping out of the house to meet other fun, local, wine loving women and drink the night away. On Saturday June, 7th, the Grapes and Grain Festival, an event where you can sample wine and craft beers, is taking place at Taj Mahal in Atlantic City from 4:00 to 8:00. Celebrate what you won or drink away what you lost in AC. Bellview Winery Farm (their site) is celebrating 100 years! Bellview's past and future will be commemorated with live music, food, wine, crafts, and fireworks. Sharrott Winery (their site) in Blue Anchor/Winslow is hosting a Wine and Music festival that will feature 8 local wineries from NJ with about 80 wines. Admission provides music entertainment and a souvenir glass. I'll be at another festival, the Lakewood Blueclaws' Jersey Shore Wine Festival at FirstEnergy Park. This event features 2 days of samplings of over 100 wines from 13 award winning wineries. While you sample, you can enjoy live music, spend time relaxing by the band, bring a picnic blanket to hang out, or dance along to the tunes. I'm looking forward to stocking up on some of my favorite wines at this festival!

During this same weekend there are active events also taking place. If you'd like to combine a workout with wine drinking or help out a good cause, visit Brook Hollow Winery (their site) or Amalthea Cellars. Brook Hollow Winery in Columbia is hosting Relay 4 Life from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Amalthea Cellars in Atco presents Run the Vineyards 5K at 9:00 am.

All that takes place at the beginning of June. The following weekend, June 14th, Cream Ridge Winery (their site) in Cream Ridge is putting on a Wild West & Country Concert Day. Bring your lawn chairs and a picnic to enjoy a day of wine and country music by Raven Hill Bluegrass. Bellview Winery in Landisville continues the BBQ fun on Father's Day, Sunday , June 15th. You can make it a 2-day celebration by visiting them on Saturday, too, for their Summer Concert series. During this same weekend, Chester is hosting a 2-day Wine and Food Festival. If you haven't been to Chester, it's a quaint, historical, downtown area with unique shopping opportunities. If you have been there, this festival is another excuse to go to Chester! You can also enjoy a Father's Day Summer Sangria Picnic Weekend in Montague at Westfall Winery (their site). This would be a pleasant way to enjoy the day with the family. Westfall Winery has beautiful property, including a pond, a barn, horses and goats.

The weekend of June 21st features more yoga in the vineyard opportunities with Four Sisters Winery in Belvidere and Cedarvale Winery (their site) in Logan Township. There are also 3 more wine festivals at the end of June to check out. Sip Into Summer Wine Festival in Sewell and Win & Wine Weekend at Monmouth Racetrack take place the 21st to the 22nd. Tropicana's Jersey Shore Wine Festival occurs the following weekend, June 28th, in AC.

If you're not sure which events you can make it to, you can find events taking place each weekend at Beneduce Vineyards (their site), Auburn Road Vineyard & Winery (their site), Alba Vineyard & Winery (their site), Jessie Creek Winery (in Cape May), Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery (in Cape May), Old York Cellars Winery (in Ringoes), and Four Sisters Winery.
