Adults/Children age 10 and up. Come hike a 1-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail to an observation platform where we'll watch the sun set in the west while the nearly-full moon rises in the eastern sky. This hike is moderately strenuous with some steep portions and a rocky, uneven trail surface. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are a must, and you might want to bring water and a snack to enjoy as you watch the sunset. We'll return to our cars by moonlight via an easier route. Inclement weather may cancel this program.
