About Hoff-Vannatta Farmstead

The Van Nest-Hoff-Vannatta Farmstead is located on a seven-acre property in Harmony Township, Warren County, New Jersey. The property, which lies along County Route 519, was originally part of a much larger parcel that was acquired in 2001 by the state of new Jersey with Green Acre Funds. The remarkably intact farmstead was listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places in 2005 as a representative illustration of the rural region's architecture and agricultural practices during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Our Personal Take...

We visited the Farmstead during their open house in April, 2014. The amount of attendees, volunteers, exhibits and information was more then we expected. In a great way of course.

A Brief History

A great source of historical information can be found on hoffvannattafarm.org/history.

Trip Ideas

Though you can visit dusk to dawn 365 days a year, the buildings are open during their 2 day open house events. Those events happen twice a year.. once in the spring, once in the fall.

Picnics / Lunches / Eating

There is a lot of grass for a picnic.. just put out a blanket and bring some lunch :)

Parking

The main driveway into the farmstead turns into the primary parking area.
